"Many Disney fans will tell you they've loved Disney since the time they could walk, and that's why I believe people are born that way," Jasmine says.
This week’s Disney Geek comes from Los Angeles, California. Jasmine Revels, who has attended many D23 events and screenings, has a lifelong love of Disney and loves sharing her Disney geekiness with family, friends, and classmates. Jasmine is currently in college and is majoring in English and film, and she is working toward a career in the entertainment industry.
Born This Way
“I honestly believe Disney Geeks are born Disney Geeks. Many Disney fans will tell you they’ve loved Disney since the time they could walk, and that’s why I believe people are born that way. As a child I never smiled, unless I was at Disneyland or watching a Disney film with my mother and siblings.”
"Last year I was blessed with the opportunity to visit Walt's apartment in Disneyland," Jasmine says. "That was one of the best experiences of my life, and I wouldn't trade it for another experience."

“Last year, I was blessed with the opportunity to visit Walt’s apartment in Disneyland. That was one of the best experiences of my life, and I wouldn’t trade it for another experience. It was great to see where Walt slept during the construction of Disneyland, and where he spent his nights. That moment was very surreal for me, and it still amazes me to this day.”
Birthday Wishes
“When I turned seven, my mother took me to Disneyland and I told a cast member it was my birthday at a hat store. Maybe five minutes later, the phone in the store rang. The cast member answered and said it was for me. I was very confused, but I took the phone anyway. To my surprise, Goofy was on the line. He chuckled and laughed and personally wished me a very happy birthday.”
"My favorite character is Peter Pan because of what he represents: innocence," Jasmine says. "Sure, Peter is mischievous but he is also the boy who never grows up, and I feel like Disney is the same way."
