The world’s largest classic film festival returns to the historic Plaza Theatre in El Paso, Texas with more than 80 feature films, including a special tribute to Walt Disney and his legendary studio. This year’s Plaza Classic will run August 4-14, 2011 with a slate of Disney titles that span the studio’s 70 years — including one whole day devoted to Disney animation and live-action favorites. The Plaza Classic will be screening rare Disney shorts from the 1930s before each Disney feature film, and film scholar Leonard Maltin will be on hand to introduce the 70th Anniversary screening of Dumbo.
