This late-1970s concept for EPCOT Center, located 2.5 miles south of Magic Kingdom Park, reveals some major alterations from the park
In “A World of Tomorrow: Inside Walt’s Last Dream,” a story in the fall 2010 issue of Disney twenty-three, we go back in time to when Epcot was but a twinkle in Walt’s eyes and then trace the evolution of this epic theme park for the ages. The story is packed with amazing images — including our favorite, Walt’s original vision for the Florida property as scribbled on a napkin! — but since we didn’t have room to fit every image we wanted to in this beautiful story, we’ve built this gallery of additional images that celebrate the colorful history of this amazing land.
