Marceline not only helped shape Walt’s imagination, it forever reminded him of the innate goodness of people and the small-town way of life. “I’m glad I’m a small-town boy, and I’m glad Marceline was my town,” he once said, and you can see in these images how much Walt enjoyed his July 1956 visit to his hometown.
