D23’s 50 and Fabulous: Son of Flubber

D23 is proud to present our first 50 and Fabulous screening of 2013 at the historic Walt Disney Studios. Son of Flubber will be screened on Saturday, April 13, in the state-of-the-art, 400-seat, Studio Theatre.

This hilarious sequel to The Absent-Minded Professor was released on January 18, 1963, and reunited many of the original film’s stars including Fred MacMurray (the first Disney Legend), Nancy Olson, Keenan Wynn, Elliott Reid, and Disney Legend Tommy Kirk. The story centers on the continuing experiments of Professor Ned Brainard and his use of the fantastical Flubber. Fun fact: Walt Disney’s grandson Walter Elias Disney Miller makes a short appearance as a baby in a television commercial!

The event will also feature a special gift just for each D23 Member who attends, as well as the opportunity to mix and mingle with your fellow D23 Members on the Studio Lot!

NOTE: Available only to D23 Members in good standing. Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and one (1) guest. The gift will be given only to D23 Members. (If a Member brings another Member as a guest, they both only need to show their membership card and photo ID to receive the gift.) There are a limited number of tickets available. D23 Members will be required to provide their membership number when reserving tickets. Tickets may be picked up only with a valid photo ID AND D23 MEMBERSHIP CARD. D23 Members who do not bring their membership card may not be admitted to the event. Ticketed Members who do not attend the event forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event.
