From creative genius Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland, The Nightmare Before Christmas) comes Frankenweenie, a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers, and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous. A stop-motion animated film, Frankenweenie has been filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D, which will elevate the classic style to a whole new experience.
The El Capitan Theatre is thrilled to invite D23 Members to be among the first audiences to see Tim Burton’s newest movie, Frankenweenie. This special Midnight screening will include a costume contest with prizes and lots of surprises! Plus, see a display from the stop-motion making of the film, and experience an educational interactive exhibit from Discovery Science Center.
NOTE: Available only to D23 Members in good standing. Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and three (3) guests for October 4, 2012, Frankenweenie Midnight screening. Doors will open at 11:00 p.m. Movie will begin at 12:01 a.m. on October 5, 2012. D23 Members will be required to provide their Membership number when reserving tickets. Tickets can be purchased by calling the El Capitan Theatre Ticketing Call Center at 818-845-3110. D23 Members who do not bring their Membership card may not be admitted to the event. Ticketed Members who do not attend the event forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. All D23 Special Events are subject to change without notice. There are no refunds or exchanges for the tickets; all sales are final.
