D23 Members have the opportunity to enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour tour of The Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Archives, hosted by D23 and the Archives staff.
You’ll have the chance to see and visit many popular Studio locales including the Mickey Avenue/Dopey Drive sign used in The Reluctant Dragon, the impressive Disney Studios water tower (and find out why it has six legs!), the remaining backlot street used in taping such ABC shows as Brothers & Sisters, No Ordinary Family, Body of Proof, and GCB, as well as some of the historic soundstages used for filming such Disney live-action movie classics as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Mary Poppins, and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

During your extensive visit, you will have an in-depth and personal walking tour of The Walt Disney Studios Lot and visit many locales that Walt Disney himself frequented. This unique and rare experience includes:
The Walt Disney Archives
The Walt Disney Archives home to the crown jewels of Disney. You’ll have the chance to browse through some of the Archives collection, with a Disney archivist on hand to answer your questions!
Animation Building
The original Animation Building where beloved animated films from Fantasia through The Black Cauldron were created.
Ink & Paint Building
The Ink & Paint Building where dozens of Disney classics were brought to life by hand through the talents of skilled artists.
Underground Tunnel
The “original Disney underground tunnel” which serves as a connector between the Animation Building and the Ink & Paint Building.
Team Disney
The iconic Team Disney building (The world headquarters of The Walt Disney Company), “held up” by Snow White’s beloved dwarfs
Legends Plaza
Legends Plaza, which honors those who have made significant contributions to the Disney Legacy including Julie Andrews, Elton John, Ollie Johnston, Alan Menken, Angela Lansbury, and many more. The Plaza also features stunning tribute sculptures including “Partners” (featuring Walt and Mickey), “Sharing the Magic” (featuring Roy O. Disney and Minnie), and a 14-foot bronze replica of the Disney Legends Award.
There will also be the opportunity to purchase select D23 exclusive merchandise. We will be hosting eight (8) tours on each day. Each tour can accommodate 25 participants.
*Due to filming and the nature of business on a working studio lot, not all buildings may be available.
NOTE: Available only to D23 Members in good standing. Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and one (1) guest for one of the four dates listed. D23 Members may attend only one “D23 Day at The Walt Disney Studios and Archives” per calendar year (so if you attended a tour in 2009, 2010, or 2011, you are eligible for one tour this year). There are a limited number of tickets available. D23 Members will be required to provide their membership number when reserving tickets. Tickets may be picked up only with a valid photo ID AND D23 MEMBERSHIP CARD. D23 Members who do not bring their membership card may not be admitted to the event. Ticketed Members who do not attend the event forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. If you wish to request sign language interpreting services for this event, please submit your request to d23.guestservices@disneystore.com at least two weeks prior to the event date. All D23 Special Events are subject to change without notice. There are no cancellations or refunds, and tickets are not transferable.
