More than 10 million people around the world have been dazzled by the unforgettable songs, breathtaking dance numbers, and incredible stagecraft of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins. And for one night only, D23 Members not only can save as much as 50 percent on tickets, members will also take part in a private tour of the historic New Amsterdam Theatre.
Discover the beautifully restored art and architecture of this landmark Broadway theater built in 1903, once home to the legendary Ziegfeld Follies. Get a glimpse into New York City history and explore a fully functioning modern Broadway theater. Each tour includes a personal visit to the Disney Theatrical prop room, where guests will have an exclusive hands-on opportunity to experience the Disney details up close with props, costumes, and set pieces from such shows as Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, and The Lion King.
The tour begins at 5:15 p.m. at the New Amsterdam Theatre. When you arrive, please proceed through the theater’s main entrance. There you will be greeted by a member of the Disney Theatrical staff who will provide further instructions. Don’t forget to bring your camera, as you are allowed to capture the magic of this tour. Following the tour, and prior to the curtain rising on the (appropriately) 23rd longest running show in Broadway history, guests will have approximately two hours to grab dinner before enjoying the SupercalExtravaganza!
NOTE: Available only to D23 Members in good standing. Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and three (3) guests. At check-in, members will need to present a valid photo ID AND D23 MEMBERSHIP CARD. D23 Members who do not bring their membership card may not be admitted to the event. Ticketed Members who do not attend the event forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes. Food and/or drink are not permitted on the tour.
