Where in the World of Disney?

This dazzling scene of electronic turbulence took place on March 2, 2009 at the Meyer Werft shipbuilding factory in Papenburg, Germany during a festive steel-cutting ceremony honoring the building of two new ships for Disney Cruise Lines. The iron Mickey shown here was built as part of the Art Deco-inspired scrollwork that will grace the bow of one of the ships. When the two new ships eventually grace the high seas scheduled for 2011 and 2012 Mickey will stand proudly in the center of a design reminiscent of the classic ocean liners of the 1930s.
